２０２３年７月２７日、サンフランシスコ州立大学と板橋富士見幼稚園の共同国際幼児教育研修の一環として、サンフランシスコ州立大学から幼児教育学部長ミナ・キム教授とイサウロ・エスカミーラ助教授が、視察にいらっしゃいました。日本の「遊びを通した子ども中心の保育」「見守る保育」そして「保育者の子どもへの寄り添い方」を学びのテーマに１日の保育を見学されました。さらに、幼稚園教育要領を基に作られた板橋富士見幼稚園独自の幼稚園教育課程、個人記録、また週日案などを通して、これからの日本の幼児教育の発展と課題についてディスカッションを行いました。板橋富士見幼稚園の幼児教育の信念である、遊びを通した子どもが主役の保育の中に、きちんとした「教育の目的」や「科学する心」が表れているとお話いただきました。また、環境を通して子どもたちの自主性・表現力・自信を育ててあげたいという願いが、先生方が一人一人の子どもへ寄り添い支援する姿によく反映されている と高く評価して頂きました。
Itabashi Fujimi Kindergarten had collaborative educational research on July 27th, 2023
with San Francisco State University. Dr. Mina Kim and Dr. Isauro Escamilla visited our school to discover Japanese Early Childhood Education focusing on “Play” and “Child-Centered” (with 寄り添う: Yorisou、見守る: Mimamoru approach). We had a great discussion about the future development and challenges of early childhood education in Japan while looking at the Individual Child Observation Records, daily, weekly, monthly, and annually teaching plans and the Itabashi Fujimi Kindergarten Curriculum, which is created based on the Japanese Early Childhood Education National Guideline. We received a positive evaluation from them that our educational wishes and philosophy; to value child autonomy, self-expression, and self-confidence through free play, are reflected in the way teaching (how teachers Yorisou to children) and the environment which is designed based on child interests and inquiries, educational purpose in each play, and joyful of science “child scientific mind”.
